3 Steps to Setting Up Your Marketing Funnel
by Ed Hodgson on Apr.06, 2010, under Internet Marketing
Creating your marketing funnel is definatley the simplest way to get traffic to a site, show your services, products or online business to your prospects and build a successful automated online home business. This is able to be done by anyone who puts the work in, even though some experts will try to tell you otherwise.
Let’s start off by quickly descibing what a marketing funnel (or lead funnel) actually is. Obviously, a funnel is wide at one end and narrow at the bottom. Only some visitors will buy your stuff, so your funnel will start with every visitor you get and then sort them out to the percentage who will buy your product or decide to do business with you.
These 3 easy steps will show you exactly how to set up your marketing funnel.
To begin with you want visitors coming to your website. A basic truth but that is where it starts off – by marketing your services. You need to market or advertise your online presence so that people interested will know it is there and look at the offer you have.
There are many ways to do this. Some you will have to pay for but there are many other ways to get traffic for free or very low cost. I won’t cover this in detail here but pay-per-click, ezine ads, article marketing and free classifieds are just a few that you could use.
The next thing to do after someone has been to your website is to get them to return as only a few will make the decision to do business with the first time round. You will want your marketing funnel to inform your prospects about you and what it is you can provide for them.
You want a branded website that gives good information and a way to capture their contact information so you can continue to feed them good information by using an opt-in form and getting them onto your list. That way, they will continue to get good information from you, even after they have left your site.
Lastly, the third bit of your marketing funnel involves your prospects and subscribers deciding that they are up to speed with what you can provide for them. They are ready to talk to you or just buy from you or partner with you in your turnkey online business opportunity. It goes without asying that the numbers will be a lot less than the original number of visitors that looked at your site.
That is why it is so important to drive as much traffic to your site as you possibly can. They are the lifeblood of your business and without traffic at the start of your funnel, you will have no-one to join you at the bottom end. Your marketing funnel also pre-qualifies your visitors so you could even look at this as more of a filter than a funnel.
The purpose of your marketing funnel is to get visitors to your site and turn them into paying customers. Bring quality traffic to your website and they will buy, time after time.
Discover how you can build a high figure income by setting up a profitable marketing funnel. As seen on Google, Yahoo and Bing, Ed Hodgson can show you exactly what you need to do. Branding Yourself to Succeed as an Internet Marketer
by Ed Hodgson on Jan.12, 2010, under Internet Marketing
This same question keeps coming up from newbie internet marketers:
Is the market already saturated?
As newbies to the industry, at first glance, this can seem like a legitimate concern. I remember that it was for me. The answer is to use attraction marketing by branding yourself.
People looking to start their own business often find themselves stuck in that place where hesitation, based on un-real fear, stops them from taking any action whatsoever. Their dreams of becoming an online entrepreneur are therefore stopped before they even begin and all the idea ever amounts to was no more than a pipe dream.
So you want to know how to be a successful internet marketer and compete with experienced people who have been doing this for years.
This is really quite easy to deal with. Once you understand a bit about attraction marketing, you will understand a little more about how people think.
My answer in short assumes that you understand that people deal with other people that they either have something in common with or that they like about them:
You Are Unique! Let me explain. If people do business with those they can relate to in some way, it should be easy to see that there is no competition if you market yourself as a brand.
Given that people buy from those they like and trust, then all you really have to do is present yourself in an open and honest way, using the principles of attraction marketing, so that your potential buyers are able to relate to you in some way.
Just be you.
If you follow these guidelines, your potential customer will feel a lot more comfortable doing business with you because you have been branding yourself.
By using attraction marketing, you no longer have to ram a sale down someones throat!
You would agree that the natural reaction to a hard sell is to walk away!
If, on the other hand, it was their idea to do business with you, because they can relate to you and they like what you have to offer, as a direct result of how you have been branding yourself, you will have a far more effective method of generating a substantial income online by using attraction marketing.
So in summary, to deal with the competition, be yourself, to attract those who naturally relate to you and your unique personality, and you will soon realise that there is no competition.
A customer looking at ten people offering the same product or service will naturally deal with the one they feel an affinity with, because you have been branding yourself.
So by branding yourself and understanding this part of human behaviour you are far more likely to succeed as an online marketer.
Ed Hodgson teaches newbies to the industry how to succeed with online marketing. He shows how to brand yourself using attraction marketing to be able to stay ahead of the crowd and successfully build a solid online business.
Online Marketing and the Business Mindset
by Ed Hodgson on Jan.12, 2010, under Internet Marketing
Developing an abundant, successful business mindset is essential as part of your training in being able to build a profitable business online. Your business mentor, coach or training programme will cover this in detail and you should look elsewhere for your training if they don’t.
Be clear on what I am talking about here.
I am not talking about adopting a general attitude of keeping a ‘positive mental attitude’ or blind belief that something will work or is possible just because you keep repeating it to yourself.
It runs a little deeper than this but please just stick with me for a moment while I explain. You need to maintain a successful, abundant mindset.
This will work better with an example. I hate mentioning the word, but imagine you’re going for a JOB interview (I’m shuddering at the thought of that one but you may be able to relate if your still trading your time for money as an employee of a company).
Now, say there are 5 people, all with very similar experience and qualifications. Only one vacancy is available.
The candidate who walks into that interview room with the mindset that they don’t really deserve to be sat there doesn’t really stand a chance from the start.
The candidates will stand a far better chance by approaching their interview with confidence and a mindset that puts across that the job is already theirs.
To put it another way, the outcome of a situation is largely governed by your mindset and expectations of that situation.
Within the online, or internet marketing industry, you can see why so many fail at building a successful online income. Approximately only 5% of people trying to build a business online actually succeed.
The majority of people who come into the internet marketing or network marketing industry have never had any experience of running their own business before. It is an industry of business owners pursued by people who have no experience of running their own business!
This is what people forget to take in to account. Coming in to this industry and succeeding takes commitment and changing your mindset to that of building a successful business.
It is essential to develop and then maintain the correct mindset of success and abundance when building your business to ensure that you are constantly well-motivated, taking action and allowing yourself to reap the rewards of your work.

Maverick Money Makers – The Club: The Naked Truth
by Ed Hodgson on Jan.12, 2010, under Internet Marketing
Maverick Money Makers is an excellent way for someone new to the internet to start making money online, working from home. This is my review to show how it can be done.
Before you part with you hard earned money, do your research into any online income system. There are scams out there but Im happy to say this is NOT one of them.
I have fallen foul of a scam program when I first started out but have nothing but positive words for this training.
I have been able to regularly generate between $2,500 and $4,500 a month using Maverick Money Makers.
For a low budget program, I would rate and review Maverick Money Makers my top choice of online income.
The training given has enabled some members to earn six-figures within their first 12 months. This is down to the personal touch that Mack Michaels gives to his training and enables you to start with very low startup budgets.
Up until recently, Mack has only taught his proven techniques privately but now offers his knowledge within his members only club.
By using Maverick Money Makers, some members have been able to become millionaires and many more have been able to quit their regular jobs.
And Maverick Money Makers can do exactly that ” empower you to walk away from the 9-5.
The Plus Side: Because this is a proven system, all you have to do is follow the instructions given to start making money.
You get to work from the comfort of your own home, using your computer, working the hours that suit you.
I personally generate between $2,500 and $4,500 a month consistently using Maverick Money Makers, after using the clear, easy to understand Tutorial Videos.
If you want a system that is easy to understand for a very low cost, then this is ideal for the fledgling marketer.
The Maverick Money Makers membership comes with a guarantee. Yes, a full 60 day money back guarantee.
I will mention this even though it goes without saying, that this is a 100% ethical, legal system.
The Disadvantages of The Club: If you can call it a disadvantage, you have to follow the instructions. That means taking action and putting into practice what is taught. The tools are there, all you have to do is apply them.
This is not a get-rich-quick-scheme. You do have to put some work in, but that only means around an hour a day.
Ed Hodgson has been successfully generating an income online for a significant time. In order to help others achieve the same success, he tests proven systems himself and then reports on them such as this Maverick Money Makers review, satisfies himself that they work and then writes reviews to help other people make an informed decision on how to become successful at making money online.
Article Marketing: The Long-term Benefits Explained
by Ed Hodgson on Jan.12, 2010, under Internet Marketing
How does article marketing actually drive traffic to your website?
In the first instance, articles are written by expert authors, on any subject you choose to think of and there is always someone looking for that information.
Article marketing depends on the use of the resource box in the area at the bottom of every article where you give the reader information about yourself, in relation to your article.
You can usually include 2 links back to a site that you are promoting. You should place these links within anchor text that informs the reader about what it is you do and how you can be of value to them.
Article directories dont allow you to advertise in the main body of the article so the resource box is your opportunity to provide a link back to your business.
The second point to note, is that article directories are also visited by newsletter publishers looking for quality content that they can pass on to their subscribers. Imagine the potential visitors this could bring!
The third way articles will increase your web traffic and help your business is by being picked up by the search engines. Pick a relevant keyword and optimize your article with it. That way, whenever your keyword is searched for and your article appears, the reader will see your work (and your links). This is why article marketing works.
Dont forget your links are down there in the resource box. So every time someone sees your article, theyre seeing your links to your website ” make your content of value and the reader will want to know more about you.
As your article is read, distributed and redistributed, you can see why article marketing is so effective at getting your name out there. The beauty of it is, other than being free, is that you only need to write an article once, but you will continue to see the results, in terms of traffic to your site, directly from article marketing, for months and years to come.
On top of generating targeted traffic to your website, your articles will continue to generate traffic to your site on autopilot. The higher the number of articles you have in circulation, the greater your traffic will be.
The benefits of article marketing are clear to see, which is why it should not be discounted as a highly effective marketing tool.
Ed Hodgson is a successful internet marketer who uses article marketing as part of his own strategies and techniques to attract huge volumes of targeted traffic to his websites. He also teaches people who have a real desire to attract a substantial income online, by showing them to use his turnkey online marketing system.
Search Engine Optimization: The Basics
by Ed Hodgson on Jan.12, 2010, under Search Engine Optimization
Using search engine optimization for your website will ultimately increase traffic and therefore sales.
Search engine optimization, or SEO, involves optimizing your website so that it is ranked higher in organic search engine results.
This is not a comprehensive list of things to ensure you do for your site. However, the following points should be a part of your toolkit in ensuring that your website content will increase traffic by using search engine optimization to bring you maximum profits.
1. Choose your keywords to increase search engine optimization. You must include your keyword within the top paragraph of your site as well as the title and sparingly throughout the rest of your page.
2. You want to choose a keyword that people are frequently searching for. Researching what keyword to use depends on the content of your site. Think about what a visitor would search for.
3. Within your website settings, you will find a box to insert metatags. By inputting your keywords here, they will make a big difference to your traffic by increasing the search engine optimization.
4. Your page is sure to rank higher and sooner if you actually submit it to the search engines. This is simple enough to do. Just do a search on Google for a suitable service. Make sure you do this as soon as possible after publishing your website for best results.
5. Learning from others. If you were looking for your product on Google, type in what you think someone might search for to find you. Look at the top ranking sites in the organic results (the ones on the left). They will be at the top of the list by making good use of search engine optimization themselves. Visit those sites and see what it is that they’re doing and you’re not, to increase traffic to their site.
6. Build your credibility. Demonstrate your knowledge and expertise within your niche area by writing articles and submitting them to article directories. Use your personal brand and this will increase traffic to your site significantly.
This article cannot cover the whole scope of search engine optimization but be sure to remember these few key points to make the most of your search engine optimization efforts.

Why Blogging is Important in Online Marketing
by Ed Hodgson on Jan.12, 2010, under Internet Marketing
A very productive way to increase your effectiveness with online marketing is by blogging. If you dont know about blogs and the power that they have on generating traffic, then this article will show you how to easily start generating traffic to your website.
Web logs (blogs) are often used as a newsletter to subscribers but can be used for almost any purpose.
You will also build your credibility and personal brand by using blogging, as well as increasing your traffic.
Remember, people buy from those they like and trust so blogging helps us in developing a relationship with our online marketing prospects.
The amount of traffic driven to your site by blogging depends on the use of keywords and how they relate to the search engines.
When potential prospects are looking into a business opportunity, they want to see regular, updated information and blogging will help you do this.
By providing them with new info youre staying connected to your prospects, and when and if they decide to purchase, theyre more likely to do that through you, especially if they feel a connection to you or feel they relate to you in some manner.
Blogging is easy on the budget also. Blogger.com allows you to start online marketing and set up a blog very quickly and for free!
Always include links to other resources or your other pages, such as a personal homepage.
Your prospects will develop a greater sense of connection to you and trust because you are being open and honest with them within your blog content.
When blogging as an online marketing strategy, be aware that Wordpress.com is quite strict and will close down a blog being used as a marketing tool. I have been made aware that this happens by colleagues within our Turn-Key Marketing Mentors team.
If you host your own blog then you can do whatever you want with it. But the subject of hosting needs to be dealt with in its own right. To begin with, only bother to use a free blog site as you start your online marketing and things will come as your experience and knowledge base increases.
My final point on blogging.
Dont forget that your content must contain value. You want to educate and inform people about what you know about, not pitch them a sale. Introduce your visitor to specific benefits of your business and develop the relationships you have with your visitors. That is how to use blogging within your online marketing strategy.
Ed Hodgson is a successful online marketing mentor who shows others the proven strategies that he successfully uses for his own online business. Blogging is a core method that he uses to educate people and advise them on generating a substantial income online.
The Power of Article Marketing in Promoting Your Website
by Ed Hodgson on Sep.07, 2009, under Internet Marketing
If you are serious about building a profitable online business and benefiting from using the leverage gained from online marketing, then you absolutely have to be writing quality articles with fresh content on a daily basis. Article marketing is overlooked by many, yet is a very powerful method of marketing.
As Im sure youre aware, there are many free ways of marketing your website. These are no less effective than paid methods and their power to deliver quality traffic must not be underestimated.
This is how you do it.
It really is as simple as this. First off, you need some specialised tools…known as Microsoft Word!
You want to be aiming for an article length of around 400 words. This is good for the directories to which you will submit your work. It’s surprisingly easy to come up with a 400 word article – don’t panic. Just write about what you know about, after doing a little research, and let your personality show.
Your article content will obviously relate to your website content in some way. So pick a specific aspect of your business, website or service and write your article. Remember it wants to be around 400 to 500 words, so make sure you stay on subject.
It also needs to be informative and of value to the reader so that if you think of the article title as the question, then the main body of your article should provide the answer. The reader of your article wants to know that theyve gained something from your article and that it was of use to them.
Understand that to be successful, article marketing must contain quality content and not just be about publishing high quantity, instead of high quality.
Submitting your articles is free with many article directories. I would recommend using www.ezinearticles.com, or just go to Google ” there are plenty out there. Id advise you to submit each of your articles to at least 3 separate article directories. This will increase the amount of potential traffic to your site.
