The Majority Of People Are Using Web 2.0 Sites Wrong… Are You One Of Them?
by Tim Beachum on Jan.31, 2010, under Internet Marketing
I’m sure you have heard all the buzz about web 2.0 sites, and those striking it rich, “overnight” by using them. What those stories are not telling you is there are literally thousands of web 2.0 or social networking sites starting up everyday. It has all become so confusing for those who are just trying to drive a little extra traffic to there site.
Why you should be targeting specific social network sites? If you choose to follow the crowd chances are you will get trampled on. What I’m saying is you shouldn’t be afraid to step outside the box and try new things. Most Internet Marketers jump on the bandwagon out of fear of missing out on the next greatest thing. I have coined the phrase – throwing darts in the dark. Some get lucking and land a bulls-eye while the majority miss the point all together.
I think it’s fair to say that since you are reading this article it is safe to say that you are sick and tired of being left in the dust and ready to cut out the bull crap. Continue reading and watch closely as I pull back the curtains on the Web 2.0 Sites mystery. I will literally hand over a few tips on how you can easily narrow down your options. I will also show you a video that will reveal seven social web 2.0 sites that will send traffic to any website today.
I will share the link to the video in a moment. First let me give you a few tools that you can put to use immediately. The tools that I am referring to will allow you to instantly be able to distinguish between the social networks that are useful and the ones that are nothing but a waste of time. If you were to listen to the experts you would believe that all social networks are created equal. That is a flat out lie. A great example of this is Twitter. At the time I was writing this article Twitter was hands down the social network heavyweight champion.
All it took to skyrocket Twitters popularity was for the media to mention a few, “I Got Rich Overnight” stories and the feeding frenzy began. Looking at things from Twitters point of view this was a good thing. From the consumers point of view we were just being showed a huge growth. Now look at it from a business point of view… Once the word was out that people were striking it rich on Twitter the company began to attract more media, thus leading to more financiers. All of the buzz made Twitter a online legend. Since all the hype even Google has changed there algorithms to include tweets in there listings. This is good for you because it will lead to generating more traffic to your website or blog.
I’m not sure who originally said it but it was some one much smarter than me who said that history has a way of repeating it’s self. Case in point… MySpace. A few years ago MySpace was the social network heavyweight champ. Their pages were ranking well in the search engines. Here’s the truth about all social networking sites/Web 2.0 sites or whatever you want to called them. They are only tools that you should use to get listed in search engines and to generate traffic. No one social networking site is going to make you rich. If you want to make money from them use them as a lead generator and that’s it. DO NOT TRY TO MAKE A DIRECT SELL USING THEM.
Standing in the mist of all the hype where do you get started? The answer is simple… You start by defining your needs. You need to ask yourself what is your primary goal. For the sake of this article we are going to say that you only care about driving traffic to your website. Since that is the case were not going to be concerned with rather the social network gives do follow links or no follow links. Either will still send traffic to your website.
If you are looking to build targeted backlinks you should be more concerned with social networks that have do follow links. Simply put… Search engine spiders can follow do follow links which is good for you. On the flip side they cannot follow no follow links which means you get no credit for that particular link as a backlink. I hope this article has shed some light on this thing that we call web 2.0 and social networks.
Here you go as I promised… Here’s the link to the top 7 web 2.0 sites that I use on a daily basis to drive traffic to any site that I want.
How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs Menace
by Vanessa Cook on Jan.31, 2010, under Advertising
Bed bugs in homes are a large issue for the residents. These annoying bugs survive on warm blood, and if human hosts are not available then they attack household pets like dogs. Pest control efforts must be carried out earnestly if this issue is to be done away with.
Travellers often get bed bugs with them to a new home destination where they reproduce quickly and begin troubling the residents of the home. They infest beds, furniture, carpets and all such articles where they can find holes and gaps.
A common myth about bed bugs is that they spread because of lack of cleanliness, but that’s quite incorrect. Since these pests feed on blood and not trash, cleanliness doesn’t help in getting rid of them. On the other hand, if the surroundings are kept sanitized, then the pests can be easily detected.
That bed bugs are too small to be seen without any visual aid is another mistaken belief. In fact, these creatures can be spotted without any difficulty, yet we usually don’t see them as they have flat bodies that help them disappear easily in narrow cracks of furniture or folds of fabric.
Bed bugs bite. They can live long without eating – up to 6 months or a year.
When it comes to cleansing a house of bed bugs, no one can do the job better than an expert pest controller, so it is better to call in such a person instead of trying to get rid of these pests on your own. However, if you don’t want to spend on a professional, the next best thing to do is to properly wash bed sheets, carpets etc. in hot water and then let them to be dried in the sun. Cracks in the walls must be closed with a sealant, and any piece of furniture that has holes should be removed as they can turn into potential habitats for these pests.

How to Advertise Your Clickbank Items Effectively
by Graham McKenzie on Jan.31, 2010, under Internet Marketing
For the modern entrepreneur to exceed when selling things on the Internet, the basic steps used in advertising and clickbank must be learned properly. The best part about selling things via the web, is you will always find affiliates. Affiliates and you, the salesperson have one thing in common, making money. How much money will be made, is based on how much you know about the system. How good you prepare your system. And how much you understand this fairly new money making system.
Clickbank provides all the essential programs to enable you to keep track of all the goods you are selling. As long as you plan accordingly, you can check the patterns of your goods throughout the entire process. Starting at advertising, going through the web sites involved with your goods, and continuing through purchases. An enhancement of all these patterns are available through use of Google Analytics. These are the best tools on the web. These tools can also track the origin of the traffic to your site.
Controlling the keywords used to describe your item is crucial to sale item popularity. Make sure the keywords used agree with what a random person using a search engine would type in when searching for your item. Key words if used properly, can produce premature sales, skyrocketing your profits faster. Join as many affiliate programs as possible to escalate all of the items as soon as possible. This type of cross affiliation can cause an abundant amount of different sales at different times.
When describing your goods, give as much information as possible. Include all the five primary questions. What exactly are your goods? Where do the goods get shipped from? When do your goods peak in sales? Why should I (the customer) buy your goods, versus a competitor’s goods? Who is the person selling these goods? Or, who are the people purchasing the majority of these goods? Money talks. When you need affiliates, treat them good financially. Simply stated, create an upstream. Make marketing deals with monetary rewards.
After considering and analyzing everything you have learned about Clickbank and the advertising processes, your goods will make a good income. The more you sharpen your skills, and gain more affiliates, your earning potential will most likely go through the roof. Always remember, selling goods has no limits. Where ever you decide to have your target market, remember to always have a business card with your site, to get more traffic.

Using AdWords Advertising
by Justin Harrison on Jan.31, 2010, under Search Engine Optimization
AdWords advertising campaigns are built around short, carefully worded advertisements. Although they may be limited in size advertising of this type can be very successful in attracting the attention of potential customers who will follow the adverts through to your website.
Two methods for this advertising practice exist related to the positioning of advertisements. Once you’ve set up your AdWords campaign, you will be presented with the option of either placing your ads on the search or the content network (in this case, AdSense), or on both.
Ads in the search network are linked up with a list that contains keywords that are closely tied to the advertisement’s text and will then hopefully catch the eyes of more potential visitors who are actively seeking out your product or service.
Within the content network, as opposed to the other, your ad will be surrounded by an article or other content which is related. So in this scenario, your ad is viewed by readers who are maybe not thinking about purchasing at the moment, so, they are only browsing and not searching.
Search advertisements, as has been proven, are normally a better way to reach your audience than contextual advertisements. Still, you could attempt to bring in traffic from both areas by designing multiple, separate ad series through assigning one to the search network and the other to the content network, and this could very easily help you expand your traffic.
Even though an ad put on a content network may not have as good of results as a search based ad, there are some positives about using contextual ads. The cost is lower per click and you usually have more control over where the ad is placed.
Even if you have already done advertising with AdWords you may want to begin a new campaign if you want to target the content advertising folks. It may be possible to use the same campaign on the content network but it might not be as effective since the audience is usually considered more passive.
In summary, a well-run campaign on a search network will generally be the best and most reliable way to generate business. However, with some cleverness and savvy and well-written copy, it is certainly possible that this could be supported by a complementary campaign running on the content network.

Start Your Story With Killer Paragraph.
by Kemp Darby on Jan.31, 2010, under Email Marketing
The formal definition of an intro is a brief introductory passage. What is important is that you get the story right; it needs to encapsulate the essence or spirit of your overall point, try communicating through example. Capturing the essence is not enough; if nobody reads far enough to grasp the main point of the story then its purpose is lost.
The important point about writing an intro is that it must be short. When you write a headline and then put content below it, your reader will expect the headline to correspond to the story below. Readers really won’t give much time to an intro which talks about sports, when the headline talks about vacations.
Okay, so you have completed the intro and this intro captures the essence of the story in every sense. However, before you consider this as your final copy, you have to check if the intro is really short enough, so that the reader won’t lose patience till the content comes to the point you are bringing across?
If you look at the intro piece given above, you will find that it’s really short. This is the kind of intro that works with the reader. Why? Here the reader is aware of the subject matter that they are reading, They are aware of the information they will be getting from the intro, in a general sense and so they know what they will get when they read the story.
Starting with a long introduction that appears to bear no relevance to the headline is the number one killer of otherwise good writing.
Another point is when you use anecdotes. You should let your reader know before-hand how your anecdote relates to your topic before you tell it to them, else the reader will leave out your topic, even before you begin to elaborate your point.
Furthermore, what is really necessary is to put the spirit of the story in as few words as possible. The aim behind the introduction is to bring across the boarder meaning of the topic.
Think about your intro as a whole and consider which details help do this and which do not. Extra details like dates, names, descriptions and diversions, if not necessary to the essence of the anecdote, serve only to distract the reader.
Check out my site mentioned in the Author field to get even more details about this and find out more on what inspired me to write out this article.
In order to gain reader attention, you have to write out a good introductory passage by giving it that much thought and consideration. It is how you present the introduction that leads the rest of the story for the reader. So, think about our intro carefully and only put into it those details which help to do this and leave out those that don’t.

Creating Money With Article Marketing: How Much Money Will I Generate?
by Marc Marseille on Jan.31, 2010, under Internet Marketing
How much you’ll make from inserting articles and affiliate links on your web site differs from person to person. How much you are in a position to make will rely mostly on how successful your web site is. This way of getting good search engine rankings through SEO efforts, making your web site enjoyable and informative to browse through engaging content, building your website around a great niche subject, how big your website is, and how many sites you have.
Some folks claim to make as much as $10,000 each month ($120,000 per year) through building and marketing niche sites, however, most people ought to not expect this type of achievement, notably if you are very modern, as that type of accomplishment commonly only comes with experience and acquired skill. A realistic proceeds to expect from a niche web site, once you have worked for months to gain traffic and are hooked up with good affiliates, may be $500-$1,000 per month. However this can be constant earnings, thus you’ll make that much monthly off of the labors you put into that one web site, it is not a one shot deal.
Once you’ve got a successful site, most opt to continue to build niche sites. The added websites that you build, the higher income you’ll be able to generate. Some also select to create awfully fast and awfully short websites above sites that are to some extent longer in length. It ought to be noted that the larger each of your sites are, the more profits you will likely generate off of them.
When starting out, it’s important to remember that your initial website will always be your most difficult, since you are just learning the ropes of the business, and that not everyone is cut out to market and promote niche sites. It may not work out for you and you may finish up losing a little bit of money, but that’s a threat that each person in this business has to take.
The vital issue is that you don’t give up without a noble shot at it, if this is really what you desire to do. Your first web site may take a long time, the work may be dull, and you may feel like throwing in the towel. But, if you give up too early, you’ll never recognize what may have been. And who knows, you may be the next nice website marketer!
Article marketing is a great approach to improve page rank and develop your internet marketing tools and link building strategies.

Author And Book Marketing Tips
by Gloria Jennings on Jan.31, 2010, under Internet Marketing
Writers want their work to be read by many; it will mean that they can keep on writing for a living and not as a side-line. Starting out is always hard for any first-time writer. You do not know what to do or how best to market your work. You will probably not be able to afford a high-quality, big city P. R. Firm to do your marketing for you. You may not even have an agent. So how do you get your work known?
Some authors have realized there is a great need for information about writing books. They have therefore, cleverly, written books about how to advertise the book you have written. The tips in the books may or may not be useful, but what IS useful is how you have learned about their book in the first place. Make your own web page and fan site. No one needs to know that you do not have dedicated fans doing this for you. Write a blog. Make a funny video and put it on YouTube. Advertise on your social networking sites. Make your technology (especially free technology!) work for you.
You may actually be in a better situation financially if you live in a small town instead of a big city. Someone from a small town getting a book published is big news in that area. Residents will rush out to see what their neighbor was able to create. Local media and papers will focus stories on you, which is always excellent and free advertising. In a big city, no one would care. You must use every single chance you get in order to get your name out there.
That said, keep a little mystery around you and be very aware of your own appearance. You are selling both your book and yourself. If you are dumpy or trashy looking, do not speak articulately, tell dumb jokes, or reveal everything about your book during an interview, who is going to want to buy your novel?
Dress well, too. If you do not dress professionally for public appearances, what makes anyone think that you can write professionally? Play up your contacts, you affiliation with local schools or business or sports teams. Make people proud that you came from their area. Keep in mind that people know your parents or remember you from high school. They want to see what you have done with your life.
Do not be afraid to put up fliers and do television spots. Network as much as you can, cash in favors, and do not burn any bridges. You will need as much help as you can get in moving your publicity up to the next level.
